| (2)授業の概要 | 上述の目標を達成するために、Academic Reading及びAcademic Writingの演習を行う。
・Academic Reading:
アカデミックレベルの語彙を修得し、且つ文法や構文の正しい理解を基に学術的な英語文章を読解する。
・Academic Writing:
文法・語法、コロケーションの演習、アカデミックレベルの語彙の確認、自然な英語表現を作成する演習を行いながら、正確且つ的確な文レベルの英文を書く。

| (5)成績評価の方法 | ・ Academic Reading/Academic Writingに関する授業期間中の習熟度を測る課題 (60%)
(Forum entries and reading assignments 30%; paragraph writing 30%)

| (6)成績評価の基準 | 授業で解説した内容と同レベルの問題が
60%以上解ければ「合格水準にある(可)」
70%以上解ければ「合格水準よりやや上にある(良)」
80%以上解ければ「合格水準よりかなり上にある(優)」
90%以上解ければ「卓越している(秀)」
とみなす。

| (7)事前事後学習の内容 | Reading and/or writing assignments will be given according to the lesson plan above.
Students will be expected to spend at least 90 minutes per week in preparation for each class.

| (8)履修上の注意 | To develop your English reading and writing skills, input and practice is extremely important.
Of course, it is important to listen carefully and participate actively in class.
However, it is also recommended to enjoy reading as much as possible on your own. The library and internet have plenty of resources for doing so.
Assignments will be posted on eALPS. Please check them.
I will take attendance at the beginning of class. Anyone over 20 minutes late will be considered absent. If you have any trouble, please consult me.
IMPORTANT: Submit assignments on time. Points will be deducted for late
submissions, and failure to submit an assignment will result in a reduction in the final grade for the course.
